International Classification Systems Of Nursing Diagnosis And Practices: Medical Education

Nursing diagnosis and activities classification systems are necessary for representing important aspects of “what nurses do”. Classification systems that is belong to nursing profession are define basis structure of nursing. It is constituted standard language for nursing. So, standard language is made easy to evaluate of research reasons. The classification systems are present a systematic method for data collection, planning nursing care and evaluation outcome. The objectives of nursing diagnosis and activities classification systems are to establish a common language for describing nursing practice in order to improve communication among nurses and other health care professions. Meanwhile, classification systems stimulate nursing research and help to provide data about nursing practice in order to influence health policymaking. The need to describe standart nursing language in terms of nursing diagnosis, nursing activities and outcomes of nursing care has been accepted internationally. American Nurses Association (ANA) has accept eight classification systems in terms of nursing and nursing care. This classification systems are translated to different language and have been used other countries. Generally, nursing classification systems are focused three principal components (diagnosis, interventions and outcomes). This components may be connect with each other or indepent to other.
